Microbiology

A bachelor’s degree is the first step in higher education. Students have an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamental education that will become the foundation for their future. Upon graduation, you can choose to continue your education in a master’s program, or you can pursue a career using the knowledge you have.

Microbiology focuses primarily on medicine and diseases. The world always needs upcoming biologists to continue the research of disease prevention, causation, and treatment. A Bachelor’s program gets students started down this path, usually incorporating clinical or laboratory work to supplement classroom study. Specializations in microbiology include virology, immunology, and epidemiology, but more general studies can be taken as well. Work in the pharmaceutical industry is also possible.
