The University of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (UTAA) is a new established school in Turkey. UTAA was established in 2011 based on the strong experience inherited from the Turkish Aeronautical Association established in 1925. The university is specialized in aviation and related sciences.
For the moment, UTAA offers two Bachelor of Science degrees; Flight Training and Civil Aviation Management. Each one is a four-year academic degree and the medium of instruction is English.
The Flight Training department will graduate professional pilots with both advanced aeronautical science knowledge and frozen Airline Transportation Pilot License (ATPL frozen). This program contains total of 157 credits. The Flight training program is based on ATPL Modular (Frozen) course. By the end of the flight training program the students will be graduated as pilots with Airline Transport Pilot License (Frozen), Commercial Pilot License and Instrument Rating License.
According to criteria put forward by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, to be able to become a co-pilot, it is required to have flown at least 207 hours in total in a commercial plane. Therefore, University of Turkish Aviation Association provides its students with the opportunity to fly for 243 hours. In addition to the pilot licenses, the graduates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in flight training.

With this knowledge, our graduates will have strong opportunity to work in airlines, corporate and commercial aviation as well as flight training institutes. They will also have the opportunity to continue their graduate education to get Masters and PhD.
